Though we are using the term primitive living for ease of understanding our methodologies in fact, we prefer to call it “Holistic Living” where you live in complete harmony with mother nature and all forms of life.

Who should do this?
This life-transforming experience is for anyone who is looking at a deeper meaning to existence and life. To detox and rejuvenate in nature away from the hectic lifestyle with daily stressors that wean you away from being Alive. You should be 18 Years or above to undergo this experience. It is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, adventurers, explorers, trekkers and campers who will not only learn to survive under any eventuality but also save the lives of others when needed.
How we do it.
The five-day immersive experience is designed in a way that slowly you will learn to reduce your dependence on modern means of existence. You will develop a unique perspective to live a richer and more fulfilling life, just like our forefathers and ancestors lived in complete harmony with nature. You will learn to meet your needs of living without modern resources we are accustomed to. This is an eco-friendly workshop. We believe in forest conservation and preservation.
A brief outline of how you will live this experience
Day 1 begins with a detailed brief about the whole experience and understanding and knowing each other. You will then go through sessions on the ecology and habitat of the area, understand how other living beings are dependent on mother nature, develop a deep understanding of the forest and ecosystem and how you can co-exist peacefully with minimal needs. A leisurely walk in the forests to absorb the healing energies of plants and trees is how we start the day. You can talk to, feel and hug the trees.
Later on Day 1 and on Day 2, we give you skills to meet your basic needs of food, fire, water, and shelter. You will select a suitable place to build your own shelter. You will learn how to light a fire by friction and different types of fires for different types of usage. You will learn skills to make your own cordage, different types of knots and lashings. You will learn about various tools including knife and how to make one for your needs. We will expose you to foraging as well as outdoor cooking techniques. How to make shelters, siting, and consideration. Safety in the wilderness against wild animals and other threats etc.
By the end of Day 2 you would have created your shelter and be happy to move into it, should you wish to spend a night in it. The nights are magical, and we shall take you on a cosmic journey where you will learn to identify major constellations and zodiacs in the sky. You will also learn how to find directions at night.
Day 3 brings you a deeper understanding of existence as by now you would have learned how to meet your basic needs for survival without modern means. You will walk into the forest again absorbing the positive and healing energies at a slow pace. You will reflect on yourself and back in the camp by afternoon. You will now be guided on how to improve your living by learning the art of pottery making, sun drying and baking your utensils and other implements. You will use them on Day for your cooking and storing food and water. You will also learn safety and Wilderness First Aid. You will learn how to make primitive weapons made by our forefathers for their survival and safety, to include bow and arrows, boomerangs, spears, suruchin, slingshots, etc.
Day 4 begins with another journey into the forest and foraging basic needs. Individual secured space for a meditative reflection on your inner self. Post lunch you will visit the local villages understanding their ways of life and organic farming. The night around the campfire will have a sharing of stories and experiences. This interactive knowledge session is also for fun and recreation
Day 5 being the last day of this transformative experience we have sessions on life skills and to learn some advanced techniques on primitive living. Post lunch the participants will be free to move back to Kodaikanal or stay at the camp if they so desire at minimal extra cost. We would keep it free to include anything that the participant may wish to learn or do. The night around the campfire is in house discussion and doubt clearing sessions which you may have during this 5-day journey.
We will be including sessions on Special Techniques on Self Defence for all participants during the 5-day program.
(Detailed schedule and list of activities will be given to the confirmed participants separately, more activities like Fountain of Youth rites, Meditation, Canoeing, fishing techniques, making raft, floatation techniques, etc may be added during the workshop in or existing activities may be modified) You will also be getting some time to indulge in your creative passions be it Painting, Writing or any other.
Where is this being conducted
This program will be conducted at a very scenic location next to a lake and forests near Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal itself is a beautiful hill station in Tamilnadu. Our campsite is about 40 km from Kodaikanal town and accessible by road. The exact location and other details will be mailed to confirmed participants. It is recommended that you keep 2-3 days spare to explore the scenic tourist attractions in Kodaikanal.
How to reach Kodaikanal
The nearest airport is Madurai about 120 km from Kodaikanal. Cab and transport are easily available from the airport to Kodaikanal. Train service to Kodai Road railway station is available from Bangalore and other cities. Kindly Google and plan your trip accordingly as per the schedule. Once you reach Kodaikanal, we will arrange your transportation to the campsite which is about 40 km away.
Stay during the program
You will get shared tents accommodation, the stay and meals cost is included in the cost of the program. The area where we are conducting has been deliberately selected to be away from towns and closer to raw nature to derive full benefits from this workshop. Do not expect luxuries but your basic needs will be adequately met in this program

This workshop is facilitated by a team of experts who are Army veterans and have many years of experience in living a primitive way of life, a life of minimal needs and being totally self-reliant on available local resources. They have trained commandos and practiced wilderness survival extensively. Often learning the ways of life from tribal and village folks, they now bring you experience and journey into self-discovery.
