SURVIVAL  24

29/30 Jan 22:  HYDERABAD(TS)

What are Survival Skills and Why should I learn them ?

Survival skills are techniques that a person may use in order to sustain life in any type of natural environment or built environment. These techniques are meant to provide basic necessities for human life which include waterfood, and shelter. The skills also support proper knowledge and interactions with animals and plants to promote the sustaining of life over a period of time. Survival skills are often associated with the need to survive in a disaster situation. Survival skills are often basic ideas and abilities that the ancients invented and used themselves for thousands of years. Outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, fishing, and hunting all require basic wilderness survival skills, especially in handling emergency situations. Bushcraft and primitive living are most often self-implemented, but require many of the same skills. This is a 24 hour day and night course for you. The course will be conducted by expert veterans from the Army who will mentor you at every step during the course. Your safety is of paramount importance and it is expected that you adhere to the instructions given by our mentors.

We will also guide you to wilderness foraging and you may cook and eat what you foraged too. We will then expose you to different methods of wilderness cooking. You will cook your own meal and we will supplement it with pre-cooked dinner too. The evening is devoted to spot situations and clearing your doubts about survival in the wilderness, You also learn tracking skills and may take part in team games designed to give you practice in wilderness survival.
